Mission:
The Revista de estudios puertorriqueños|Puerto Rican Studies Journal is a multidisciplinary, bilingual, double-blind, peer-reviewed journal that focuses on original research addressing Puerto Rico and Puerto Ricans broadly defined. The journal seeks to publish contributions analyzing historical, political, social, cultural, economic, educational and scientific aspects while also engaging a wide range of disciplinary frameworks, fields, and approaches. Submissions should contribute to the understanding and knowledge of both contemporary and historical issues affecting Puerto Rico and Puerto Ricans. As one of its main goals, the journal seeks ways to bring the field of Puerto Rican studies into critical dialogue with other academic fields, specially American, ethnic, global, Latino, and Latin American Studies.
This journal will publish articles, notes from the field, interviews, review essays, book reviews, and bibliographies. The Revista de estudios puertorriqueños|Puerto Rican Studies Journal accepts individual essays as well as proposals for themed issues.
